Welcome to Messages: Text & SMS App. By downloading, installing, or using this application, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please uninstall the application immediately.


1. Core Service and Permissions

Messages: Text & SMS App is designed to function as your device's Default SMS Handler. To provide seamless messaging capabilities, the application requires specific system-level permissions. By using the app, you acknowledge and agree to the following access requirements:


SMS & MMS: To send, receive, and read text and multimedia messages.


Contacts: To display the names and avatars of your contacts within message threads.


Storage & Media: To save incoming attachments and browse local files for outgoing messages.


Camera & Microphone: To allow you to capture photos or record voice notes directly within the app for MMS attachments.


Phone State: To identify your device's subscription state for routing messages correctly on Multi-SIM devices.


System Overlays & Notifications: To display incoming message alerts and provide quick-reply functionalities over other active screens.


2. Third-Party Integrations

To maintain stability, deliver notifications, and keep the application free, Messages: Text & SMS App integrates trusted third-party SDKs:


Google Firebase: Used for crash reporting (Crashlytics), performance monitoring, and push messaging functionality.


Google AdMob: Used to display advertisements within the application interface.

By using this application, you agree to the standard terms of service required by these third-party integrations as outlined in the Privacy Policy.


3. User Responsibilities

Carrier Charges: The application utilizes your mobile carrier's cellular network to transmit SMS and MMS messages. You are solely responsible for any messaging fees, data charges, or overages incurred under your mobile service plan.


Message Content: You retain full responsibility for the legality, accuracy, and appropriateness of any text, photo, audio, or video file you transmit through the application.


Device Security: You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and any local authentication methods (such as device biometrics) used to access the application.


4. Prohibited Conduct

When using Messages: Text & SMS App, you agree not to:


Use the application for spamming, phishing, or distributing malicious content.


Utilize automated systems or bots to send bulk messages.


Attempt to decompile, reverse engineer, or extract the source code of the application.


Use the application in any manner that violates local, state, or international laws.


5. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in the application's software, design, and branding are the exclusive property of the developers of Messages: Text & SMS App. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the application for personal communication.


6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The application is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. No warranties are made, either express or implied, regarding the reliability, uninterrupted availability, or perfect accuracy of the application. The transmission of SMS and MMS messages is ultimately dependent on your cellular network provider.


7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developers of Messages: Text & SMS App shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. This includes, but is not limited to, loss of data, missed messages, delayed deliveries, or carrier billing disputes arising from your use of the application.


8. Modifications to Terms

These Terms of Use may be updated periodically to reflect new features, SDK additions, or legal requirements. Continued use of the application after the Effective Date signifies your acceptance of the revised terms.
