Information Collected for Core Functionality To function as your Default SMS Handler, Messages: Text & SMS App requires access to certain device features and data. This core communication data is processed locally on your device and is not uploaded to any external servers. SMS & MMS Messages: SMS permissions are required to display, send, and manage your text messages. Contacts: Address book access (READ_CONTACTS) is used to display the names and photos of senders in your chat list.
